Why we chose the Ibis Styles in Port Macquarie?
We chose the Ibis Styles because of its location. We wanted a 4-star hotel that was within walking distance of the CBD. The Ibis Styles is part of the Accor Group of Hotels which we are a member of. A balcony was also on our list of things we wanted plus modern decor and good customer reviews.

There are so many things to do in Port Macquarie which we could walk to and not have to use the car.

Our Ocean View Room
Our ocean view room was located on the 3rd floor. The large double bed was very comfy and we had a great nights sleep. The crisp white high thread count sheets are always a plus when staying in hotels.
Even though we only had a short stay in Port Macquarie a work desk is always needed for our travel blogging business and catching up on emails whilst we are away from home.
The bathroom was modern and spacious with a hairdryer and toiletries provided.
There was a minibar (which we don’t normally use) as well as a coffee/tea maker, microwave and small fridge. Free wifi and a flat-screen TV comes with all rooms.
The balcony was equipped with outdoor furniture and we had spectacular views to the east. The sunrises were brilliant!
There is a swimming pool but on this trip we did not have enough time to take advantage of it.
Check-in and check-out were handled in a quick efficient manner. The staff were excellent, full of local information for us and tips on what to see and do.

River View Balcony Suite
We had the opportunity to have a site inspection of the beautiful River View Balcony Suite which the hotel has just renovated.
The one-bedroom suite is large coming in at 45 sq metres. The decor was modern, inviting and well-suited bringing the colours from the outside in. Views are over the sea and also the river. The balcony comes with outdoor furniture to enjoy the views.

- Mini-bar
- Tea and coffee making facilities
- Kettle, fridge and microwave
- Flat-screen TV
Would we stay at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Port Macquarie again?
Of all the Port Macquarie Hotels we looked at we are so glad we chose the Ibis Styles. We would definitely stay here again for all the reasons that we wanted in a hotel in the first place. Was there anything we did not like? No, we were happy with everything provided during our stay.
Normally we would like a hotel to have breakfast included but in this instance, we wanted to try out the Little Shack Cafe at 1 Munster Street Port Macquarie which was a personal recommendation from a friend. They are open from 6.30 am in the morning and have views over the Hastings River, as well as the best breakfasts in town we were told.
