The Northern Territory occupies the top end of Australia and covers an area of 1.42 million km. Northern Territory’s outback includes the historic town of Alice Springs and one of Austalia’s icons – Uluru. Darwin is the capital of the Northern Territory.

Getting into the Northern Territory

Domestic flights are operated by Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin to the Northern Territory.

The main airports are Darwin and Alice Springs.

Darwin Airport

Taxis

Taxis are available at the front of the terminal the average cost of the journey from Darwin airport to the CBD is between $25 – 35. A $4 exit toll is to be paid on exit.

Rideshare

Rideshares, Uber, Lyft, Ola, Didi are available in Darwin, Northern Territory. A $4 exit fee is to be paid on exit.

Alice Springs Airport

Alice Springs Airport is a 15-minute drive to the CBD (14 km).

Taxis are available from the front of the terminal. Taxis fares are around $45.
