Tasmania’s two major airports Hobart and Launceston have regular flights from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Gold Coast and Adelaide.
Direct flights are also available from Melbourne to Burnie, Devonport, King and Flinders Island.
Domestic Airlines that service Tasmania are Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar and Rex Airlines.

Wynyard – Burnie
500 m to Wynyard town centre
14 km to Burnie. Although this airport is within the city limits of Wynyard, it is officially known as Burnie Airport. Most locals refer to it as Wynyard Airport.

Hobart Airport
Skybus Hobart Express services Hobart with frequent stops around the city area. You can pre-book your tickets here
Hobart Maxi Connect operate airport transfers not only around Hobart but statewide, including Kingston, Port Arthur, Tasman Peninsula and east coast (Coles Bay).
Launceston Airport
The Airporter Shuttle Service meets all scheduled flights into Launceston Airport and drops off at or near selected hotels, motels, bed and breakfast accommodation and hostels in central Launceston as well as the University and Country Club Casino.

Uber is available in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie.
Car Rental
Car rental is available in all cities and airports in Tasmania.
Good to know: You will need to book well in advance of your travel dates. Cars are limited and prices are higher than on the mainland.
