The staircase to the moon in Broome only occurs on certain full moons. The local markets at Town Beach hold markets on the first two days. The stairs to the moon are created as the full moon rises creating a stair effect on the ocean. The best place to see the staircase to the moon from is the Mangrove Hotel at Roebuck Bay.
Enjoy yourself at the beaches in Broome. Cable Beach is the most well-known beach. During the dry season, it is manned by surf lifesaving and you can hire umbrellas and sun loungers.

At low tide, if you walk away from the lighthouse towards the ocean you will see the footprints in the rocks.
The Japanese Cemetery
Located on Port Drive heading out to Cable Beach. The Japanese Cemetery is a reminder of the deaths that occurred during the height of the pearling industry when the Japanese divers experienced divers paralysis.
